REVIEW – “Put buying app on your to do list!”
There are so many Todo apps in the App Store in can make your head spin just thinking about it. The team at Appigo has taken a little bit from all of them and added their own touch in this excellent product. If you are someone that likes to have total control of their schedule, this app may be for you!
I looked long and hard when I started looking for an app to keep track of my todo list. There are so many bad apps out there that it’s almost shocking when one just works. That was my experience with this app. Another thing that makes this app so good is the support you get from Appigo. This program has improved so much since it was released because they listen to their users. If you are not sure how to use a particular feature, chances are that not only does their website have information on it, but that they also have a video that shows you how to work it.
When you first open the app the interface looks simple, which is impressive once you realize the depth of features that it has. There are five little icons along the bottom of the screen that allow you quickly access various features. The first icon allows you to quickly sync your contacts with whatever you have set as your syncing service. There are three different options for syncing: Appigo Sync, which is Mac only at this point but is soon coming to Windows through Outlook, Remember the Milk, which requires a “Pro” subscription and Toodledo.
The second icon on the menu is the “Contexts” icon. This allows you to quickly view your contacts filtered by your own self-set contexts (office, home, errands, etc.). This feature is particularly useful if you are a one track mind and are using Todo to keep track of your work, home and school Todo lists. The next icon is the “Tags” Icon. This allows you to break down even further your different “Contexts.” For example if you had homework due in your English class, you would set the “School” context and the “English” Tag. This allows you to have total control of what groups of tasks you are viewing.
The fourth icon is a little magnifying glass that allows you to quickly search through your tasks. This is very useful if you have a large list of tasks and don’t want to hunt around to complete one that you know you have finished. The final menu icon is the “Settings” Menu. From he

re you have all kinds of options to customize the way your tasks are sorted and displayed. The possibilities are truly amazing when you start looking through all of the options that you have.
Now that we’ve spent all this time talking about ways to view your tasks, I’m sure you’re thinking that adding tasks has got to be extremely complicated, right? Well, prepare to be amazed, because one of the greatest things about this app is how easily you can add tasks, and still allow them to be sorted in all kinds of ways.
There are two ways to add tasks. The little lightning symbol with the “+” sign in the upper right allows you to just quickly add a task without any detailed information. This just adds it to your “No Due Date” section and doesn’t add any additional information but is super fast.
The second option for adding tasks is the “+” sign right next to the quick task add button. When you add it this way it asks you the “Type” of task you are adding, as well as the name of it. Setting the type allows you to easily link the task directly to sending a text message, an email, a phone call, adding a location, or visiting a website. It also allows you to use a checklist or a project to make things like grocery lists or to add individual steps that need to be taken to finish a large task.
Once you set the type of task and the name, another page comes up where you can quickly and painlessly associate the task with any of your context’s or tags, add a due date or time, and also prioritize or set it to repeat at various intervals such as weekly or daily. All of the different features are so quick and painless, you’ll be surprised at how many tasks you can schedule this way in a relatively short time.
There are many more features that I could go through, but I think I’ve given you a taste of just how full-featured and easy to use this app is. But don’t just take my word for it, go and download the free demo version of Todo and get a taste of just how easy keeping tabs on your schedule can be. All of that said, if you are looking for an app that can really keep close tabs on your busy schedule, this app is one of the best of its kind, and it is well worth the $10 to be able to keep track of your schedule as easily and as accurately as Todo by Appigo can.
